Our Team
Dr. Celeste Martin
Dr. Celeste Martin (previously Dr. Spini), graduated from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine, finishing her clinical year at Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. Originally from Fairfield in Northern California, Dr. Martin spent the majority of her summers on her family's farm, where she worked with the local veterinarian. While in veterinary school, she found her true passion lies in equine reproduction. Following veterinary school, Dr. Martin completed an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY, where she honed her skills in equine reproduction and foal care. She has become an expert in reproduction and neonatal care, while also enjoying working with goats and sheep. More recently, Dr. Martin completed courses in acupuncture, where she enjoys helping ease pain and give animal athletes an extra competitive edge, while using non-medicated and more natural techniques. She loves the challenge of working with many species on a daily basis, from routine wellness exams, to emergency field surgeries. Dr. Martin lives in Temecula with her husband, Jameson, their son, Easton, daughters, Eva and Emmy and their Chocolate Lab, Dixie, and Golden Retriever, Bear. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with family, going to country concerts and being outdoors.
Morgan Bentley
Originally from New York, Morgan Bentley moved to California in 2020. While Morgan has always had a love for animals, she discovered her passion for horses here in California, where she began honing her knowledge of all things equine and general horse husbandry. As a lifelong learner, Morgan is always striving to learn new disciplines and skills with her horse, Valkyrie. They enjoy spending most of their time pleasure riding and exploring the great wine country trails! Morgan finds the most joy in “loving the unlovable,” and can often be found handling ornery mares, working with dogs who have suffered abuse, or relocating a rogue snake. In her spare time, Morgan enjoys hiking, doing DIY projects on her home, and exploring Southern California with her daughter and their nine animals!
Shyanna Swearingen
I am grateful to be apart of Temecula Valley Veterinary as I get to work alongside Dr. Martin as her veterinary assistant. I am grateful to have achieved my lifelong dream and honored by the trust placed in me, not only by our patients but also by the people that love them. I treasure the long term relationships that I develop with our clients as we work together to ensure that the pets they love receive the best care possible and are always treated with kindness, compassion and respect. And must I add, Veterinary medicine is simply put, awesome! After all these years, I’m still always learning and improving my ability to help animals. I am grateful to be apart of the team, where we all feel the same about our patients and our clients. What better way to spend your life than doing something you love with people who all feel the same way! I think though, the absolutely best part about my career is that it allows me to make a difference. Whether it is preventative health care to keep animals healthy, helping a new life enter the world, or assisting an old friend to pass with peace and dignity. I get to make a difference every single day. That’s why I do what I do.
